Low Light, Full Heart
We always leave a little later than we should.
One last photo. One last snack. One more stop to watch the wind in the grass.
How could I rush this moment?
Then the sun starts slipping behind the hills.
The walk back becomes a race.
The boys laugh, running ahead,
chasing shadows.
I follow slowly, watching the way the fading light turns everything soft and golden.
One day they will outgrow this trail,
but you will find me here still.
Where the light dips low, and my heart is full.
Always
